Masterminds’ goal is to provide children with a well-rounded education that will lay the foundation for kindergarten and beyond. Early childhood is a crucial stage in every child’s life in terms of intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. That’s why it is important for children to receive high quality care and positive learning experiences. At Masterminds, our low child to teacher ratio allows teachers to address the individual needs of children, and give each child amble attention. And more importantly, teachers and children will build a stronger bond, which adds to your child’s security.
CURRICULUM
OUR M.A.S.T.E.R.S. (MATH, ART, SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, READING, AND SOCIAL) CURRICULUM WAS CREATED TO GIVE YOUNG LEARNERS A FUN AND ENGAGING LEARNING EXPERIENCE. OUR CHILD-CENTERED APPROACH ALLOWS CHILDREN TO USE THEIR NATURAL CURIOSITY, AND IT PROVIDES AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN TO BE ACTIVE LEARNERS. SHEENA HARRIS, M. ED, IS THE OWNER OF MASTERMINDS DAYCARE CENTER. SHE STUDIED EARLY CHILDHOOD AND ELEMENTARY EDUCATION AT CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE. AFTER RECEIVING A BACHELOR’S DEGREE, SHE RETURNED TO CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE TO EARN A MASTER’S DEGREE IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION AND A READING SPECIALIST CERTIFICATION.
