Rasheeda McClendon


Rasheeda is a graduate of Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. She has over 8 years of experience in mental health. In addition, she has worked as support staff at Bishop McDevitt High School


Taylor Quales

Taylor is a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and has over 8 years of experience in childcare. She was part of the original staff at Masterminds and brings a strong foundation of experience and familiarity with our program. In addition, she works full-time in the medical field as a medical assistant.


Kendell Thomas, Operations Director

Kendell is a dedicated youth mentor, coach, and human services professional with a strong background in behavioral health, education, nutrition, and athletics. A graduate of Cheyney University, he has spent eight years as a One-on-One Mental Health Worker, providing individualized support and guidance to help clients achieve personal and developmental goals.

Kendell also served as Nutrition Manager for a daycare center, overseeing meal planning and ensuring compliance with health and nutrition standards. In addition, he managed Bishop McDevitt Kitchen Services for three years, leading daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food service and safety.

Passionate about developing young people, Kendell is a former high school and youth football coach and currently serves as a Track & Field Coach at West Catholic High School, where he mentors student-athletes both on and off the field. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, accountability, teamwork, and character development.

Through every role, Kendell has demonstrated a commitment to serving others, building meaningful relationships, and creating positive opportunities for youth and families in the communities he serves.


Kaitlin Williams, Education Manager

Kaitlin attended Wayne State College where she Majored in Family and Consumer Sciences, with a Minor in Family Life Studies.  She also spent 4 years working for Head Start in Nebraska.


James Williams, Owner

James Williams co-founded Masterminds Daycare with his late wife, Sheena Williams, with the vision of creating a warm, boutique-style environment inspired by the traditional one-room schoolhouse model—an enduring symbol of foundational education in America.

From 1999 to 2009, James served as a full-time Therapeutic Support Staff, working one-on-one with children facing behavioral challenges and those on the autism spectrum.

His deep commitment to youth development continued during his tenure as Director of Institutional Advancement at Bishop McDevitt High School (2017–2021), where he oversaw school operations and led successful fundraising initiatives.

He holds a degree in history from Cabrini College and brings a passion for education, athletics, and community service to everything he does.
